The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application system.

Applications are actually open and may close on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should meet the following requirements:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a house using a combined gross home income that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined house earnings would not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and wish not submit any proof of earnings.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent people from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.

Applicants are reminded to provide the right Identification Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected in their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds people who are researching or plan to research at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET nsfas 2025 colleges should apply timeously and not to wait nsfas login until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to nsfas check apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
